The Apollo is a refinement of the Jumbo, designed by Stuart Surridge and made famous by players like Sir Viv Richards and Clive Rice. The old Jumbo had an elongated spine, going up the centre of the bat towards the handle, and then cut away sharply at the bottom of the splice.
But many people found this bat too heavy, so we've lowered and sloped the spine towards the handle end of the bat. It still has its enlarged sweet spot of old but has a lighter scale weight.
Blade Information
When willow trees are bought and clefts are made they're graded on quality. All Swannack bats come in Classic, Elite and Test grade - made out of the three highest grades of timber - because we believe in quality.
The 'Elite' Apollo is made from the finest grade 2 English willow. This grade is perfect for someone who already has experience with English blades and is looking to upgrade from their current bat.
Delivery
Due to most cricket bats being made to order please allow 2-3 weeks for the order to complete production and ship.
